Park Art

The ParkArt project is part of the Mornington Peninsula Shire ParkArt Community Connections Project, aimed at strengthening community relationships and a sense of belonging in the Mornington Park community.

A small and committed group of local residents of Mornington Park (Tanti) created images and texture on clay tiles and assembled them to form a set of sculptural, decorative poles for the garden of the Currawong Community Hall. The clay sculpture depicts, in fascinating detail, elements of their relationship with nature and the local Peninsula environment.

Celebrated by neighbours, friends, family and visitors of Tanti, the collaborative project brought people together, to share experiences and ideas and to communicate positive messages of place and belonging to the broader community.
